MG IM6

The MG IM6 is a premium electric SUV with a sleek, coupe-like roofline. It comes from IM Motors, SAIC's upmarket EV brand, and is sold under the MG name by Paramount Motors in a single, fully loaded trim priced at Rs. 81,99,000.

Its 75 kWh LFP battery, a chemistry known for durability and for handling frequent full charges well, gives a WLTP range of 450 km. A 109 kW rear motor with 450 Nm of torque drives the rear wheels. On a 153 kW DC fast charger, you can go from 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes, and the 11 kW onboard charger takes care of overnight charging at home.

The chassis is what sets the IM6 apart. At low speeds, four-wheel steering turns the rear wheels opposite to the fronts, cutting the turning radius to 4.5 m. That makes a 4,904 mm-long car feel much smaller in tight spots, and it can even crab-walk diagonally into a gap. Double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, Continental four-piston front calipers, and 175 mm of ground clearance complete the hardware.

Inside, a 26.3-inch display stretches across the dashboard alongside a 10.5-inch central touchscreen, both powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. You also get a 20-speaker sound system, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 665-litre boot that grows to 1,640 litres with the rear seats folded. A 32-litre frunk adds extra storage up front. Driver assistance includes adaptive cruise, lane centring and one-touch parking.
