Space is where it makes its strongest case. You get 674 litres of boot space with the rear seats up and 1,910 litres with them folded. There's also a 124-litre front trunk (a storage bay under the bonnet) for charging cables or a soft bag. A 2,835 mm wheelbase frees up generous rear legroom, and the second row reclines to two positions.

Power comes from a single 180 kW motor at the back, making 350 Nm of torque and reaching 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The 77 kWh NMC battery gives a claimed 530 km on the WLTP test cycle. DC fast charging at up to 144 kW takes it from 10 to 80% in about 38 minutes. With 195 mm of ground clearance and multi-link independent rear suspension, it's set up to take Nepal's road conditions in its stride.

Comfort and safety are well covered. The front seats are heated and ventilated, the outer rear seats are heated, and you get a panoramic glass roof, a head-up display, and an 11-speaker audio system. Seven airbags and MG Pilot driver assistance back up a five-star Euro NCAP rating, and the battery is covered for 8 years or 150,000 km.
