The Mahindra XEV 9e is an electric SUV coupe that pairs a sloping roofline with a cabin built around screens and tech. It sits on Mahindra's INGLO platform, a base designed for EVs from the start rather than adapted from a petrol car, and every version drives the rear wheels. In Nepal, it's sold by Agni Incorporated Pvt. Ltd., with prices running from Rs. 69 lakh to Rs. 95 lakh.

You get two battery options. The 59 kWh pack pairs with a 99 kW motor and a claimed 522 km of MIDC range. The 79 kWh pack gets a 199 kW motor and stretches that to 656 km, with DC fast charging at up to 175 kW. Both deliver 380 Nm of torque, so pulling away and overtaking feel effortless.

Inside, three 12.3-inch screens run across the dashboard, including one for the front passenger. They're backed by a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system rated at 1400 W with Dolby Atmos. The boot holds 663 L, and there's a 150 L frunk (a storage space under the bonnet) that's handy for charging cables. With 207 mm of ground clearance, broken patches and speed breakers on Nepal's roads won't worry you much.

Safety is a real strength. The XEV 9e has a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating, up to 7 airbags, and Level 2 driver assistance. The top version adds a wider L2+ suite and an augmented reality head-up display that projects guidance onto your view of the road.
