Rs. 54,99,000, for a single fully-loaded version. It is distributed by SPG Automobiles, the sole Omoda and Jaecoo distributor for Nepal.
Despite the name, the J5 Pro sits below the J5. It costs Rs. 47,99,000 and uses a 50.6 kWh battery for a claimed 405 km, while the J5 costs Rs. 54,99,000 and uses a 58.9 kWh battery for a claimed 461 km. The motor, body, suspension and equipment are otherwise the same across both.
Jaecoo claims 461 km from the 58.9 kWh CATL LFP battery, measured on the NEDC cycle. Real-world range will be lower, particularly on hill roads and in cold weather.
A 130 kW DC fast charger takes it from 30 to 80 percent in roughly 28 minutes. On a 6.6 kW AC home wallbox, a full charge takes about 9 hours.
It has 185 mm of ground clearance, a claimed 450 mm wading depth, multi-link rear suspension and hill descent control that works between 3 and 60 km/h. Approach and departure angles are 20 and 29.8 degrees. It is front-wheel drive, so it suits broken tarmac and gravel rather than serious off-roading.
The battery is covered for 8 years or 180,000 km and the motor for 8 years or 160,000 km. SPG Automobiles offers an extension taking both to 11 years, up to 240,000 km on the battery and 200,000 km on the motor, subject to insurance and servicing conditions.
