BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic

The BYD Sealion 7 Dynamic is a five-seat electric coupe SUV priced at Rs. 92,99,999, brought to Nepal by Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd. It claims 520 km of range on the NEDC combined cycle from a 71.8 kWh BYD Blade battery. Sold in China as the Sea Lion 07 EV, it carries the Sealion 7 name in export markets, including Nepal.

The Blade pack uses lithium iron phosphate cells, a chemistry that gives up a little energy density in exchange for longer service life and better heat tolerance. Charging runs at 7 kW on AC, taking around 11 hours for a full charge, and up to 110 kW on DC, which covers 30 to 80 percent in about 25 minutes. The vehicle's load output of 3.3 kW lets you run tools or appliances directly off the battery.

A single rear motor produces 100 kW and 380 Nm, and the sprint to 100 km/h takes 11.8 seconds. Acceleration is unhurried by electric car standards, tuned for steady progress. Double wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear, and frequency-selective damping at all four corners keep it composed over broken surfaces and on longer hill roads.

Inside, you get a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display and twelve Dynaudio speakers. The Nappa leather front seats are ventilated with eight-way power adjustment and memory for the driver, and a panoramic glass roof runs the length of the cabin. Nine airbags and a Level 2 driver assistance suite are standard. Boot space is 500 litres, with a further 58 litres in the frunk under the bonnet.
