BYD Seal

The BYD Seal is an electric sports sedan built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0, and it's sold internationally under the same name. In Nepal, it's distributed by Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., with prices ranging from Rs. 1,10,00,000 for the Dynamic to Rs. 1,95,00,000 for the Performance.

What sets the Seal apart is how quickly it moves. The rear-drive Dynamic and Premium make 150 kW and 230 kW. The all-wheel-drive Performance adds a second motor up front for 390 kW and 670 Nm, enough for 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. A drag coefficient of 0.219 helps it cut through the air, which also helps range: the Premium's 82.56 kWh Blade battery is rated for 570 km under WLTP, a standardised lab test used to compare EVs. That battery is built into the floor using BYD's cell-to-body design, so the pack forms part of the car's structure rather than sitting in a separate case.

Inside, you get a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, a 12-speaker Dynaudio system, ventilated and heated front seats, a panoramic glass roof and two wireless phone chargers. Double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension keep it composed on hill roads. Every Seal carries nine airbags and a 360° camera, and the car holds five-star ratings from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP.
