Tata Tiago.ev

The Tata Tiago.ev is a compact electric hatchback made for everyday city driving. This new generation brings sharper styling, a more modern cabin, and noticeably quicker charging. In Nepal, it's sold by Sipradi Trading in two variants. The Pure +24 costs Rs. 28.99 lakh, and the better-equipped Creative +24 costs Rs. 29.99 lakh.

Both versions use a 24 kWh battery and a 55 kW motor with 114 Nm of torque. The certified range is 285 km on the MIDC test. Tata's own real-world estimate of 205 to 215 km is the more useful number for planning your week. It feels quick in stop-start traffic, reaching 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds. You can also pick from four regeneration levels, which set how strongly the motor slows the car and feeds energy back into the battery when you lift off.

Charging is where this model has moved forward most. On a DC fast charger, it goes from 10 to 80 percent in about 35 minutes, and Tata says 18 minutes adds roughly 100 km of range. At home, the included 3.3 kW wall box charges from 10 to 100 percent in about 8.7 hours. An optional 7.2 kW unit cuts that to about 3.5 hours.

At 3,825 mm long with a 5.1 m turning radius, it's easy to thread through narrow streets and tuck into tight parking spots. The 240-litre boot takes the weekly shop without fuss. Six airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX child seat mounts come as standard. The battery and motor are covered for 8 years or 1,60,000 km.
