The BYD Atto 1 starts at Rs. 30,75,000 for the Dynamic variant and Rs. 34,80,000 for the Premium.
The Premium gets a larger 38.88 kWh battery for 300 km of range instead of 230 km, faster 40 kW DC charging, side airbags, a 6-way power driver's seat, electrically retractable mirrors and a tilt-and-telescopic steering column. If you drive mostly inside the valley, the Dynamic covers it. If you regularly head out of town, the Premium is worth the Rs. 4,05,000.
230 km WLTP on the Dynamic and 300 km on the Premium. Real-world range on hills and in traffic will be lower, so plan on roughly 180 to 250 km depending on variant and driving style.
A DC fast charger takes it from 30 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. At home it charges on a 7 kW AC wall box through a Type 2 port, which comfortably covers an overnight charge.
It is built mainly for city and highway use. With 175 mm of ground clearance it handles paved roads and city streets well, but it is not meant for rough or off-road terrain, and its 45 kW motor can feel less powerful on long, steep climbs.
The battery and motor are covered for 10 years or 200,000 km, the vehicle for 5 years or 125,000 km, and the LFP low voltage battery for 6 years or 150,000 km. Service is every 12 months.
