The MG Comet EV is a tiny two-door electric car built for one job: getting you through city streets with as little fuss as possible. At just 2,974 mm long with a 4.2 m turning radius, it slips into gaps and parking spots that bigger hatchbacks have to pass up, yet it still seats four.

Power comes from a 17.3 kWh LFP battery (lithium iron phosphate, a chemistry known for long life) feeding a 30.9 kW rear-mounted motor with 110 Nm of torque. The claimed range is 230 km on the MIDC test cycle, and the top speed is 100 km/h, so this is a car for stop-start traffic rather than long highway runs. There's no DC fast charging. You plug into a Type 2 AC charger, and a full charge on the 3.3 kW onboard charger takes about 7 hours, which makes overnight home charging the natural routine.

Both variants come with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounts and an 8-year or 1,20,000 km battery warranty. The Executive keeps things simple with halogen lamps and a 7-inch digital cluster. The Excite adds LED lighting, a reverse camera, power-folding mirrors, and twin 10.25-inch screens with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

In Nepal, the Comet EV is sold through GO Automobiles, priced at Rs. 18,75,000 for the Executive and Rs. 21,50,000 for the Excite.
