Deepal S05

The Deepal S05 is a five-seat electric SUV from Changan's Deepal brand, sold in Nepal by MAW Vriddhi Autocorp. Prices start at Rs. 57,99,000 for the Plus and go up to Rs. 62,99,000 for the Max.

Both versions share the same hardware underneath. A single 99 kW motor drives the rear wheels with 320 Nm of torque. It's fed by a 56.1 kWh LFP battery, a lithium chemistry that handles frequent full charges well. The claimed range is 470 km on the NEDC cycle, a lenient test, so expect less in daily driving. On a DC fast charger at up to 151.5 kW, the battery goes from 30 to 80 percent in about 15 minutes. A 7 kW AC charger at home handles overnight top-ups, and V2L lets you run appliances from the car at up to 6 kW.

The 2,880 mm wheelbase frees up generous cabin space. A 159-litre front trunk sits under the bonnet for cables or shopping bags. Every S05 gets a 15.4-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree camera with a see-through chassis view. You also get frameless doors and adaptive cruise control with lane centering.

The Max adds the comfort and safety extras: a panoramic glass roof, heated and ventilated front seats, a 14-speaker Sony system, and side curtain airbags.
