Power comes from a 58.3 kWh LFP battery, short for lithium iron phosphate, a chemistry known for long life and for coping well with regular fast charging. The claimed range is 520 km on the NEDC cycle, an older and fairly generous test, so real-world figures will be lower, but it's still enough for several days of city driving between charges. A single front motor makes 100 kW and 260 Nm, which feels lively in stop-start traffic and keeps pace comfortably on hill roads. DC fast charging runs at up to 120 kW, taking the battery from 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes, while the 6.6 kW onboard charger handles overnight top-ups at home. Vehicle-to-Load lets you run appliances from the car at up to 6 kW.

Inside, a 14.6-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver display run GWM's Coffee OS, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The boot holds 362 litres and grows to 1,060 litres with the rear seats folded. Every ORA 5 gets seven airbags, a 360-degree camera and automatic emergency braking, while the higher trim adds adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and a panoramic glass roof.
